Why is PhotoGurus in "beta"?

If you’re looking at the beta app, you’re one of the lucky few who get to see a new and fresh concept coming to life, that could change the entire world of digital photo archival and enjoyment. We’re still refining some of the functionalities, so if you see a hiccup or two, do drop us a line and tell us about it.

How do I upload photos to my account?

Sign in to your account, and click the ‘Start new photostory’ button. Once you give a title to your photo story, you can upload your photos from your computer or any other source. [Tutorial coming soon on how to upload photos]

How do I view my photo story?

Once your photo story is ready, we will send you an email with a link to view it online.

How do I share my photo story?

You can share your photo story through facebook or by email. Click on a photo story in your account page, to get a menu that helps you make your choice.

How do I create a Story?

Once you log into your account, you can click on the top left button that says ‘Start new Photo Story’. That will take you through the next stages in the process where you can add a title to your story and your photos. Once you’re done uploading your photos, you will receive a confirmation mail that your order is being created. As soon as your order is ready, we will notify you.

How secure are my photos and videos?

Your privacy is our greatest concern and your photos are processed in a highly secure environment with Fort Knox like measures. The designers and all the computer systems in the facility are monitored by 24/7 surveillance. You can be rest assured that your photos are in the safest of hands. What if you want to use multiple devices?

You can upload photos from multiple devices. The current version of the PhotoGurus allows you to upload photos from multiple sources but only from a single local device. Many users have different devices that use on their vacations to capture photos (phone / camera etc). In future versions of PhotoGurus, you will be allowed to upload from other devices into a single order. Until then, you can upload photos from two different devices and drop us a message at support@photogurus.com and let us know which orders you’d like to have combined.

I have a PhotoGurus account on the app on the phone. Can I use it here on the web?

Of course! PhotoGurus was designed to be a multi-source and multi-platform application. You can log into your account using the same account credentials everywhere.

How do I upload my dropbox photos to create my photo story?

In the upload photos section, click the ‘my computer’ tab to upload photos and navigate to the dropbox folder that has your photos. You can select and upload them.

What if I only use an online dropbox account?

Navigate to your account online and download the photos or the folders that have your photos. Then click the ‘My computer' tab in the upload photos section, and navigate to the folder that you downloaded the photos.
